Minifoot, I did that job on my two boat engines just before I sold it. 😬
Were they cummins engines? Mine is a '99 and I have a goal of around 650hp and that should land me in the 15 to 18 hundred foot lbs of torque. That's why I was nervous with stock head bolts... with the last turbo I had my second Gen dodge doing 138 mph on i80. 35s on a 4x4 dodge make for a fun ride over 120 lol

Just in case you are feeling nostalgic about boat maintenance.

No, I am not. 🥺

I changed the 4 manifolds and they are heavy enough. 😬

And every year I removed the outdrives and took them home to service them as well as changing the engine valves and rocker arm springs.

I am so happy. On my beach walk this morning at low tide I lifted some rocks and they were loaded with amphipods. They have been totally gone for 2 years and for some reason, now they are back. Tomorrow morning I am going down there with a bucket and collect a few thousand to throw in my tank.

Paul,
Glad for your proximity to marsh habitat. I also recognize that beach. Go get you some.

Subsea, I just looked at the tide table and it won't be low tide until 10:00 this morning so after my walk now, I will have to go back at 10:00

I am not sure if I can collect today. My wife was in terrible pain last night so I am waiting for her to get up to see how she is today. Mornings are usually better.

It is supposed to rain today which normally triggers the pains. MS is a very sucky disease. 🥺

Thank you. I treated that copper with some very expensive "copper stuff" that is supposed to protect it and prevent it from turning green forever even outside. Time will tell. I also had to seal that sink because it is cement. 😬

My wife picked that faucet; I wanted a different one. I think it looks too Girly. 😳 It's black on top and gold around the edge.

I have the oak panels for the wall to the right of that and hopefully will start installing them tomorrow. Then I will add the lights and start painting the other walls. I am thinking of a diagonal stripe going around the room. We will see. 😁
So you got the mudflap as a saw off ? 😁

sorry bad things happen to the nicest people why is that ?

We threw a surprise moving away party last night at a seaside restaurant.
Our friend lived here for 40 years and now is moving to Florida. She rented there on Hutchinson Island for 10 years but now is going permanently. We will miss her.

My wife and I organized it.. We will miss her.

Yes, we are all old. Someday, if you are lucky, you will all get there and hopefully have loads of very good friends as we have, these are many of her, and our friends from this community.

My wife is in the white jacket next to me.

Paul /Atoll and others that post here that I respect . I after 30 + years now have Hydroids in my original tank. Against all conventional writings there is no reason for this to have happened due to any additions . No possibility of Hitchhikers at all. Regardless, as you should be aware I copied Paul's vacuuming filter ( 5 Micron ) assembly . I intend to try to physically remove the Hydroids . The question after reading about their life cycle is whether I should recycle the water back into the Tank after the filter or let it run into a pail, and add fresh salt Water as I go?

Good morning Paul
Sorry to jump in but I am changing my ro today or can I bleach the old one . Thanks Paul

At this point it doesn't matter, they will continue to reproduce anyway. I would remove as many as I can but I don't think it will make much of a difference.

No, the RO canister needs to be replaces. I don't think bleach will do much.
