Tank damaged in transit - opinions needed

I bought a used Waterbox 190 and one of the side panels was damaged at the bottom. Trying to figure out if I need to replace the panel.

The glass is 3/4in and it looks like the damage is about 3.5 inches long and about 1/4 high.

Also looking for some recommendations on getting some light scratches out of the glass.

Here are some other photos, not sure if they help or not. The black silicone you see at bottom is approx 1" high.

Is it just on the outside edge or does the damage extend to the underside near the seam? If it’s just the outside edge and it’s a chipped but no running cracks you’ll most likely be fine, it’s a bit ugly but it very well could last years like that.

Definitely no cracks at all, just the bottom of side panel chipped. The inside edge where the panel is bonded to the bottom panel is where largest chips are at - approx 1/4 inch. The outside edge is minimal damage.

I don't think the panel will crack, but was worried about the weakened bond where the side panel meets the bottom. I figured it's still got about a half an inch undamaged since it's 3/4 glass overall, but wasn't sure if the chipped area would create too much of a weak spot.

I was thinking about filling it and just running it empty for awhile, but not sure if that really gives much info as seems like something that would take awhile to fail if it was going to.

I would test fill it. Let it sit for a week or so and then set it up if nothing changes. It’s not ideal to have a chip anywhere but it seems like it wouldn’t compromise the tank significantly

The scratches are a more difficult problem than the chip. Very difficult and time consuming to remove and you risk distorting the glass.
