Hey everyone.

I have a 48x18x12 shallow rimless tank with a corner overflow. The bottom of the tank has a rim but the top does not. Got a welder to build a metal tube stand for me, but the tank hangs off each side by roughly 1/16” to 1/8”. The majority of the trim is on the tube. Is a slight hang off the edge okay? I’d prefer not to cut ply to hold it up because it looks so clean. Let me know your thoughts! The tank is very shallow. Thanks.

Pics may help, but a little overhang isn't a problem IF the bottom rim is fully supported.

However, if you paid someone to build this stand and the dimensions are not correct, I'd go back to that person and ask them to modify or rebuild the stand.

Good luck!

I can't imagine that slight overhang would be a problem, especially on such a shallow tank. You should be fine.
