So I have a 220g 86 inch tank that I built a stand for the stand itself is sturdy but when I placed the tank on the stand the rim doesn't sit flush all the way around. The middle is flush with the front right and back off the stand by little under 1/4th on right side and 5/8th on left thr back of tank from middle until the right edge is flush on stand. I measured the height at 6 points and this is what I have
Front Left43 1/2″
Front Middle43 9/16″
Front Right43 1/2″
Back Left43 13/16″
Back Middle43 1/2″
Back Right43 3/4″
The 3/4th inh plywood may also have a crown but I'm super demoralized. Ow because of how long it took to build plus materials etc. Chat gpt says a good fix is to laminate 2 3/4 inch plywood sheets, lift the tank momentarily and fasten them onto existing top and frame and the rigidity would help level out. Do yall agree with this? Should I just restart over idk.. I'll attach photos soon. Thanks in advance

Flat is hard to achieve. If you scroll down the first page of my build thread you can see the same issue I had and what I did with shimming and adding another sheet of plywood. Still going strong almost 2 years later.

your stand is as flat as the platform you built it on. that tank will most likely fail especially if its rimless.

Be sure to run a known straight edge or laser down that trim on the bottom of the tank also, have had trim on tanks that compounded the issue with stands. In fact I hand planed one stand to flat in my shop and when I put the trimmed tank on it, there was a 3/8" gap in the middle of the tank just from trim not being fully seated during assembly (and that was only a 36" long tank!).

I feel like this stand is cooked and I'll have to start over 😬

It is a rimmed tank so that means NO LEVELING MAT. Myself I would shim under the plywood until it contacts the tank rim. Make sure your tank is level in place, fill in a shim under that plywood as needed every 8-10 inches and call it good.

The first thing I would do is slide the Tank onto a temporary sturdy platform that's the same height, so you don't have to lift it back up. I'd remove the stand to work on it and then check your floor to make sure it's level side to side and front to back since it doesn't look like you have leveling feet. I'd set the stand someplace with a fairly level floor to work on it and remove the top and find the low spot on the perimeter and start removing wood to flatten it out. Power Plane or Belt sander with aggressive belt. Use a straight edge to monitor. Reinstall the top with Stainless screws, done.
