I currently have a 29 gallon biocube mixed reef. I’m considering upgrading to a larger tank, possibility a Fuji cube 58 gallon 2ft by 3ft 16 inch tall or a 81 gal 2ft by 3ft 22 inch tall. The 58 gallon is the same hieght as my current biocube and I like the height. Is there any advantage or disadvantage by going to the taller 81 gallon tank?

Talker is advantage with seahorses and length for fish
Disadvantage with tall tanks is needed wattage for light to reach the bottom

Personally, for a DT, I would only want from 20-27” tall… otherwise shorter doesn’t look deep enough and a taller tank is a problem (for me) to reach the tank floor.
