Afternoon all,
Recently, I had a direct lightning strike to my home, and while it did some damage to the house, it really messed up my reef equipment. I lost a fleece roller motor, tank heater controller, and ATO controller. Everything was hooked up to 1000 Jul protectors, but they did nothing.
My question is, what is everyone doing to help/mitigate damage from power surges?
I would like to note that the equipment got hit, but the tank and the critters seemed fine, and nothing in the water was affected as far as I can tell.
