I know this is a fresh water tank but im just in love with this setup.

Too bad we cannot add these kinda green n our salt water tank :P

Yeah, that is cool.....I was big into planted tanks for a while but they became too much work due to the constant plant growth. You would be surprised what you can do with macro algae in a reef tank though :) Throw in some hardscape and strategically place the greenery and you could get it to look pretty similar.

It's greener now. I like how the fish chill in the plants. Hopefully this luck carries over into my reefing.

Lol, yeah, that would have been a lot of planting. This was a 4 foot tank and that took me several hours. You would be suprised how quick it fills in though, even if you plant it sparsely....that is using CO2 and strong lighting though. This is when it was first planted.........

I love nice planted tanks, but doing things like the baby tears and growing reds can be tricky balance between light and Co2, easily as hard as any reef.
Now I keep a simple low tech nano planted for bedroom tank, almost no maintenance.
