Tank sitting

Hello!
So I have small dilema. I hope lounge forum is OK? Im going out of town for a week, and am on the fence of having someone stop by to check on my nano reef. Basically itd be a guy from LFS that ive been going to forever. I dont know the maintenance guy, but know most of the managers. Just kinda leary of giving someone access to my home while Im gone, ya know?
My thinking was id do the WC and feed the night before I leave. Ill be gone from a Saturday to the following Saturday. Tech would come by halfway thru the week, say Tuesday just to check water, maybe clean glass, and give a feed.
Im wondering if Id be OK for the week without anyone stopping by. Tank is quite stable, have an ATO. Id be concerned with dirty glass, but not a huge deal? And feeding...Id hate to go a week without food. Maybe autofeed? Tank is all LPS/soft.

I don’t blame you, I’d be skeptical also. If it were me I’d throw an auto feeder on there and call it good. Just make sure ur ato and dosing (if you’re dosing) is full and will last the week.

Thanks for the reply. Thats what im thinking. ATO is great, rez lasts just over 2 weeks. No dosing currently. Can you recommend a good auto feeder or are they all pretty similar? If all goes well, would just expect some pretty dirty glass, not a big deal, right? When I return, will do the WC, etc.

I personally used the Eheim everyday feeder, but I hear a lot of good things about the top fin feeder too, the less moving parts the better. Do you have a top on ur tank? My last tank was a 220 and I left for 2 weeks several times for work. Granted my wife was home, but she’s clueless when it comes to tank maintenence. I just took out my filter socks so they didn’t clog and used a 5 gallon bucket for skimate, and set the auto feeder. It’s not the best option for fish health, eating pellets and not mixing in frozen but life comes first. No job means no fish lol
