In fresh water tanks you can have decorations and statues that are safe for the ecosystem. But in reefing the parameters are extremely stringent and less for giving. i want my aquascape to contain a statue that has meaning to me as a focal point. At this point the objective is to have a predominantly LPS and softies tank with a clean-up crew that compliments the corals. Is this possible and is there anyone that I could have make a “reef safe” statue?

You can certainly do it, we don’t see it much in this hobby for a couple reasons. For me it’s the fact that algae will cover it and distort the coloring, mainly that the space is precious and better spent on porous rock for bacteria to colonize and filter my water.

You can have any statue in your reef tank. there is a special coating you can apply that makes it reef safe. I seen it in the tv show tanked
