I have a new 200 gallon tank, only been up for a month and change. I got around 6 snails and a rabbit fish in there. I am concerned that between the lot of them they have done too good of a job cleaning. The fish is happy with pellets too, so I think he will be fine.

But I am worried the snails, Collonista and astraea snails, are going to have slim pickings in terms of algae. They don't seem interest in nori sheets rubber banded on PVC. Not sure what else I might be able to supplement with while the next wave of algae comes.

There's algae flakes they can take. Or nori on the rocks they can eat (presumably). I would also stop cleaning the glass so the slime algae grows a bit that they can eat.

I realized I might have a problem when it has been a week and I haven't seen anything on the glass except in the highest flow areas where they seem to avoid.

Ill look at algae flakes.

If you've been running any type of reef lighting on the tank for a month, I doubt there isn't anything for 6 snails to eat....
especially in a 200 gallon tank...

*Edit, unless you're running an algae scrubber, protein skimmer or other filtration etc!
