Hey guys so I’m dealing with ich and my tank is fallow right now...however I’ve had my temp at 74 degrees F how much higher can I turn up the heat before I mess up my beneficial bacteria??? Keep in mind I have nothing at all in the tank ! Thanks
im thinking about going to 85 to 90 degrees F the last 2 weeks of the fallow period

thanks!

Maybe raise it to around 78-80 degrees slowly.

I don't know how it would effect the nitrifying bacteria, but if you have corals, snails, etc... in there, it may negatively impact them to go too warm.

Raising to 78-80 is acceptable to most inhabitants and may help to push the ich cycle a little faster. I think i recall all our ich knowledge mainly comes from some cooler water research.

I raised mine to 80 no problem with dt being fallow for 4-6 weeks
