I'm upgrading my red sea 250 c max to a red sea 350 g2 peninsula in a month or so . I'm going to put the new tank in the same exact place where the old tank was.

When moving everything. Would this be the right way to move everything?
1be rock out into buckets with tank water
2 take fish out into one bug bucket
3 take sand and the rest of the water out.

Also should I use the same sand for just get new sand?

When I moved from a 30 to sixty I used Rubbermaid tubs and powerheads with heaters. Put rocks and the livestock in the tubs with some old but mostly fresh saltwater. Used the old sand and new sand . This time I’m using pretty much all new sand as I’m about to move from 60 to 90 .

I rinse out my sand for tank transfers, its a lot of work and it takes several hours, but seems silly to me to throw out good sand and buy more. Its up to you.

How do you go about rinsing your sand?
Put the sand in a bucket, fill it with tap water, swirl the sand around to release the dirt into the water, then empty the water, and fill it up again, and keep going until you swirl the sand and the water stays clear

I did a tank upgrade about a year ago and saved the sand. I had a revelation on how to clean sand. I got the rocks and water all out, then got a brand new, never used cat litter scoop, which worked great to reclaim all the shells and bits of rock rubble from the sand. and my long forgotten nassarius snails.
That was great.
The real innovation was in the cleaning. I put 4 or 5 inches of sand in a bucket, ran tap water into it. Then used the scoop to sift through it.
That works really good. much faster than swirling the bucket. A few rounds of that, and the water ran clear.
