I am upgrading to a Red Sea Reefer 525 XL, I already have a Longhorn Cowfish, green chromis, 2 clowns and a watchman goby.

The Cowfish is the king of my tank as far as I’m concerned, but with the big 525 XL I was planning on adding more fish, just would like people’s thoughts on which tankmates would be good (or bad) to have with my precious Cowfish. I want functional fish to control algae and such as the Cowfish makes a lot of poops.

My tentative plan for tankmates are:
1. Fox faced Rabbitfish
2. Some kind of angelfish
3. Yellow Tang

Beyond that I’m not sure, anyone have any critiques/suggestions they would like to share? Above all I want only fish that will be nice to my Cowfish, because he’s such a great little guy (and obviously don’t want him to release any poison).

Thanks in advance!
