I have a hammer and frogspawn that I got at the same time about the same size. The frogspawn grew like gangbusters but the hammer is about the same size it started out at almost a year later.

I've been trying to target feed it the past month or so. I just use a syringe to spray each head with the same frozen food I feed the tank. I mix brine shrimp, mysis and Reef Plankton. Nothing seems to take. It doesn't curl up like my Duncans. There are pieces of food that stick to it, but they hang off swaying in the current until a fish takes them away.

How do I target feed a hammer?

My hammer doesnt like to be fed too often, maybe only once a month, if I feed more often, it wont take the food and it flows away after like you. I turn my pumps off to feed for about 20 minutes. Its not an aggressive feeder.

But, it should have grown after a year, so I think the answer is with lighting and flow.
