So I've successfully fed and seen his feeding tentacles once. I've tried a few more times, and no response. twice early morning, no lights, and once during moonlight phase of tank.

Any tips or tricks? Trachy seems fine, but I'd still like to be able to target feed 1-2x a week.

Oh, mostly feeding PE Mysis, also tried adding benereef.

Gonna bump this for you. maybe ask Vetteguy.

I have 2 Trachys: one that has eaten since day one (my 1st trachy ever) and another which took a while for me to get trained to target eat. I feed w/ reefroids that have baby mysis and/or Hikari Coral Gumbo mixed in. I usually feed 1hr before the lights go off. At first, the un-eating Trachy appeared to never open up but I kept feeding it 1-2 weekly with little amounts. I started noticing the Trachy slowly opening up and eventually started to eat more food. Six months later and I see it's feeding tentacles often.

I'm not specifically sure what to tell you but maybe my experience will help? Keep feeding it small amounts and I'm sure it'll start figuring it out and relying on you for those weekly feasts.
