TDS not 0 after adding sand?

I have an RODI unit water comes out 0, but after rinsing sand and adding water it’s around 8-12ppm? I keep rinsing and rinsing but still stays around the same numbers

It will never be zero after you add sonething to the water.

When you say sand what do you mean?

I have added this below, but after rinsing for about half an hour TDS is around 10ish just wondered if it was normal and all good to use

You are good to go. Didn't know if you were running some type of sand filter in your rodi system.

Rodi only stays at 0 until you add something to it. Adding sand is going to add dissolved solids into the water.

Thanks guys! Setting my tank up this weekend so just worrying and didn’t wanna have to drain it haha
