Temp port on Doser

I have a stand alone doser 2.1 that is hooked up to my P4 as a slave unit. I would like to have acces to the temp port on this doser since it is there and not being used versus buying expansion cards for my P4. How is this accomplished?

I was told you can't once you send it to slave it looses all them ports
