I usually just use a drop in thermometer and calibrate it that way.

What do u mean by drop in thermometer? Like a glass one with mercury in it? Thats kinda whats I've done. I was just wondering if there was a more accurate way of doing it. Thanks

What I use to do my temperature calibration is a ASTM 63F Thermometer (Precision)— H-2600.63F. Here is a link to where I purchased it. ASTM Thermometers, Fahrenheit It might be overkill in some people's eyes, but it gives me the satisfaction and peace of mind of knowing it is right. And the next step in calibration instrument is in the $100 plus range.
