After a long,...exhausting period of researching for picking the best LED lighting company for my needs, Rick recommended his Reef Radiance Lumentek 240 for my 75g mixed reef tank build. So I bought it and got his LED refugium light. When I un-boxed the unit I found that the hand controller had a very small broken piece on the bottom right corner. I called him and sent a photo of it and he was pretty upset that the damage occurred in shipping, and I agreed, so he is sending me a brand new one. I did not ask for another as the damage was so small, and would not interfere with the workings, but he wouldn't here of it !

When setting up the lighting I had a problem and called Rick, but since he could not see the system, he suggested calling a fellow reefer here, James or AKA,...."CKI",... and now a very good friend, as he has a Lumentek and likes computer systems, for some much needed help. When I would setup my lighting spectrum and the percentages, the computer would not save them or do the cycle. Finally after several days of pulling me hair out, James figured it out. After I would set the programing, I would go back to the "Sunny" LED screen, so the computer was in the Sunny Mode and NOT,... the Custom Mode that I had set. Once I left it on Custom on the LED screen, it cycled perfect !

This was funny. We just bought a new coffee table and I had the lighting fixture on it so I could sit down on the couch to figure out the cycling problem in comfort. I had the light on and at only 40% and now we have little crop circles burnt by the LED's lol... I'll have to lightly sand the table and put a little amount of stain on it. So if you don't think these lights aren't strong, come look at my table of crop circles !

I can't be any happier with Rick, his awesome customer service, the top quality and lighting system of my Lumentek 240.

What a simple issue and easy fix. So, I want to say thank you very much, to Rick and James. You guys are awesome ! :high5:

Kevin
