Water is in the tank !! I just filled it to test leak everything and see how everything is and also to get the return pump “broken in”. Its quiet and everything checks out great so im pumped on that. Once I finish getting my new flooring in down here i will be able to move the stand and start cycling it.

Whoohoo my skimmer finally showed up and all i can say is wow this peice is nice. Its alot bigger than i was expecting thats for sure and is a tight squeeze in the sump but itll work. Also got my sand for the tank and we are almost ready to get cycling.

So things are looking great the tank is healthy and up and going for the most part. I have a couple more things I need to get but other than that its basically at were I want it at this stage. I will keep things posted as I add more livestock over from my nano within the next couple weeks. For now I have my 2 clowns in with some yellow tail damsels and they are eating perfectly and seem to be very happy and healthy !!!

Little update we are having a little algae outbreak that will hopefully go away soon and also still having issues with microbubbles that I am trying to get rid of other than that things have been going great. We got a couple new corals also, a fox coral and a Welso !! Both are doing good as well

Completely re organized the sump equipment to hopfully help out with micro bubbles. We will see if this helps if not I might order a bigger sump. Anybody have any ideas possibly that would help out ?

Have you tried putting filter floss in the area where the water flows from the skimmer chamber to the return chamber, it may help to catch some of the bubbles

I did and it did help some but the water wasnt flowing threw the floss like i wanted and it was just overflowing over the side into the return chamber... the micro bubbles seem to be coming from my skimmer from what it looks like ill have to see if i can do something there or like I said maybe just get a bigger sump to give the bubbles time to float to the top.

Is your skimmer broken in yet, mine produced a lot of micro bubbles until it was fully broken in.

Skimmer has been running for about a month now. I broke it in exactly how Vertex says to so I would think it would be good.

Well a little update here on the tank we have officially defeated our little algae outbreak we had going on thank god !! Everything is checking out great and testing good. Nitrates are a little high so we will work on getting those numbers down. Also still struggling with the micro bubbles and I think it has just came down to trying out a larger sump. Any other possible ideas would help out also !!

Picked up a very nice hammer coral peice along with trying my first sps, a montipora setosa. Also I started dosing fuel by aquavitro and started to use Polyp labs reef roids. Have heard good things about using these two together so I am giving it a try. Cant forget we also started our zoa/paly garden but so far is only a couple frags of rasta and pink zippers zoas.
