You have apparently correctly sexed your angel! Mine is tougher because it is 50/50 split orange and purple but generally dominant purple is male and orange dominant is female. With that in mind I actually prefer females

Need some suggestions, just added a majestic angel and he is getting the snot beat out of him is there anything that I can do to help him out or will this all pass in a day or two and hope he survives.

What is beating the snot out of him?

I can tell you that even with remedial aggression a majestic doesn't stand a chance. Remove the aggressor

Unfortunately it seems to be every fish in the tank from tangs to coral beauty - damsels

Damsels have no business being with any fragile or remotely difficult fish. Sorry you're having issues but without removing the aggressors you have a 5-10% chance of success. Majestic are very fragile until established.

Well I guess I'll have to cross my fingers. its lights out in the tank right now so hopefully they'll calm down and it'll blow over in a day or two. Thanks

How long have you had your multibar angels? Are they eating prepared foods or are they mostly LR pickers?
I had them for a month now and they eat anything i throw in the tank. They're not that difficult to keep. I had one previously for 2 years until I sold and broke down the tank. By far my favorite angelfish

Did you buy as a pair?

No. I bought them separate but the size difference should result in a bonded pair with time. I have had the small angelfish for just a week. The larger one for just two days. They are eating which is huge for these fish. They are doing very well this early in the game

Here is my pair of multibar angelfish. They are doing great together. Best pair of fish I have ever had!

Other than the grazing what did you get them to eat? Any secrets? I have one in qt and going on his second week won't touch food and didn't show interest. Afraid there isn't enough in there for him to survive much longer[emoji27]
