My Emperor. I think it’s a female. She’s small. Got a buddy of mine one way smaller and much later than I got mine. His is larger than mine and turning colors now. Mine barley getting the next morph colors. Had her for 2 years she she’s only 4”’.

As far as i know, most or all angelfish are protogynous hermaphrodites, so i'd expect that any individual which is a young adult or still in transitional colours would be female

Nice. I have a trio of flame angels in mine. They seemed to be dping well.

Is that a lieutenant or Orange shoulder tang?

It’s a lieutenant tang.

Just picked up a Black Phantom Angelfish from Poma Labs. Will post pics once it’s settled in. They come with a cool certificate.

Newly acquired Rock Beauty

Nice. I've had a Rock Beauty for exactly 2 years now, it's about the same size as yours, maybe 3". Mine gets a variety of frozen foods, Seaweed Extreme pellets and nori, he'll eat pretty much anything I offer it, he's got a decent amount of body mass, and is a swimmer! He's definitely the most curious and active fish I have. But this particular fish hasn't grown one bit since I've had him. He's going into a much bigger tank as soon as I can get a house built and tank set up, I'm hoping that'll trigger something with him to grow lol. I've said this several times now, he may die of something but it certainly isn't going to be from malnutrition

That is cool! It's worthy of putting it under glass and framing it.

I wouldn't mind a conspic, but the difference between what I'm willing to pay and what they sell for is pretty far apart . For 30 years a conspic has been the holy grail of angels for collectors, until the peppermint came along anyways, I'd still rather have a conspic. I've never ever seen one in person, I think Andrew has a whole school of them

Mine is a food monster! When I drop black worms, he’s like a dang vacuum! So hard to feed the others! He will fit right in with the craziness of my 300 system! Haha! I can feed the 300 10 times a day the nut cases act as if they have not eaten once for the day!
