So I would like to start off by saying that I was once a proud customer of The Coral Dudes but sadly that is no longer the case. During their first live sale i made some purchases and was very happy with what i received and i even won a $200 gift certificate for future purchases. Needless to say I was happy, so when they announced their lightning maroon clownfish sale, went on their site and ordered some of the other clowns that were also on sale for a good price. In the end i purchased a green hulk acro colony, some cheato, and 4 different designer clowns with the $200 gift certificate and i paid for shipping on my credit card.
A few days later they posted that they may be able to get good prices on some other fish if contacted, so i messaged them about a potters angel, a multicolor dwarf angel, as well as a single head gold torch frag; prices were agreed upon and was a told that all the items can ship together in January. I paid for the fish on my credit card using PayPal and was charged on the 31st of December. I messaged them for an original ship date of January 23rd to arrive on Tuesday the 24th.

On the 23rd I emailed them because i had not received a tracking number for the shipment, i received no response until the 24th, the shipment did not arrive and the response was that they accidentally scheduled to arrive on Thursday instead of Tuesday. I said ok thats fine it happens, and waited for the next arrival date. So on wednesday i yet again didn't receive a tracking number. I contacted them again only to receive a reply on thursday morning that they printing the label no to ship out on that day, even though I was supposed to already have my box in hand at this point. At this point i started getting annoyed and replied to them that now they are telling me that my order is shipping on thursday to arrive friday? They then responded if it would be ok to ship the following thursday because supposedly the angels were not looking to well and wanted to give them time to improve and recover. I was annoyed that this was not communicated to me at any point prior to this and i now had two failed shipping attempts where time was taken out of my day waiting for a package that hadn't been shipped. But i agreed to wait the additional week in the hopes that at least i would receive healthy fish in the end. So the agreed ship date is no Thursday February 2nd to arrive friday february 3rd. I made arrangements yet again to have someone take time out of their day to wait for my package. I messaged them on Wednesday Feb 1st to confirm our arrangement and received a reply on Thursday morning indicating that my order was shipping as planned. HOWEVER YET AGAIN i didn't receive a tracking number and of course no shipment the following day.

I am utterly disappointed that I was lied to on 3 separate occasions. I contacted them the following morning but received no response no matter if i tried phone email or message here on R2R. I only received a response after threatening to file a claim via PayPal for items not received. They emailed to say they were sorry and that I would be contacted via phone and claimed that they shipped my order but it was returned to them, however theres no tracking info that was sent to me that would prove that not to mention the shipment status when i logged into my account on their website was still listed as unfulfilled. I received no calls, today i received another mail saying they claimed to have left a voicemail and that they would call me today around noon. I have no voicemails and yet again nobody has called me. I am putting this review here so others can avoid being lied to. I have been charged for over a month, I'm out a couple hundred dollars, hours of time waiting for shipments and have absolutely nothing to show for it. I understand that they are busy but that is no excuse to be lied to on any occasion let alone on 3 separate attempts.
At this point they can keep their fish, corals, and their gift certificate as I will be filing a PayPal Claim for items not received. I am done being lied to.

We are a two man crew and have 450 orders we are shipping for clowns. As explained we would be shipping this week.


As explained your package was lost. Your order was then put to Unfulfilled on the site so we knew to reship. I planned on shipping your item today as we discussed via pm and emails.

Now you have a pay pal claim in and I can't ship anything until this is resolved. I will try to call again today, if you want to just call us please do so. 585-802-6141

If you have called, you have not called the number I have provided, as I have no missed calls or any voicemails. There are no emails or pms that were sent that indicate that you intended to ship today February 8th. The PayPal claim has not been elevated to a chargeback as of yet so if you do intend to ship this week then pls provide me an arrival date and a tracking number and I will mark the claim as resolved once the order is received without having to escalate the claim to a chargeback

So I wanted to update the order thread to indicate the the coral dudes did reach out today as their post stated and we were able to resolve everything. So although there were some issues throughout the process I do wanna leave the thread on a good note that we were able to resolve the situation completely.

Horrible experience here too. Worst purchase ever. Phil may talk a big talk, but that's all it is... empty promises
