The shots were taken with a 60mm macro lens on a Canon 80D camera using the built-in flash. Just wait until he crawls over near the glass and take a few snaps. Macro photography is one of my hobbies that goes well with having an aquarium.
I got a pretty large CUC order coming in, this coming week. I just got the Tamron 90mm macro I am excited to get some reef marco shoots.

also of fun forest mushrooms and the like. been quite some time 15 years or so since I had a macro lens.

Some of my Lettuce Nudibranch, and my Porcelain Crab getting some natural light with his RFA

How long have you had the lettuce? I may be the only person in reefing ticked off that I don’t have more GHA. My youngest grandson is 2.5 years old. He is obsessed with episode two of Life On Our Planet which contains both trilobites and a nudibranch eating a tube anemone. I got an chiton. He’s satisfied his nana got him a trilobite. Lol. Now every week he asks me for a nudibranch. I’m waiting until I have more algae. He’s doing his 2 year old best to be patient. Lol

I got them probably 6 months back and they've been breeding off and on. Algae and natural light go a long way with these guys.

Thank you. Y’all cross your fingers for algae in my tank. Lol. I have a handful of CUC that simply put do their jobs entirely too well.

I am having the worst luck with CUC right now! They keep dying!

Got 4 snails back in the fall and they all died within a few weeks. I just got 3 a few weeks back, from the LFS mind you, and two of them were dead when we got home with them. The one remaining snail must think he's all that since he's the lone survivor.

Also, I'm looking to get some additions to my CUC that can help with some of the green hair algae that's around. Any suggestions? I'd love to get one or two reef safe crabs.

That sounds like the snails at the LFS aren't in good shape. I get mine from ReefCleaners which is generally reliable in terms of health. Finding a few locals that want to split shipping on a big order really helps.

This the 20gal linked in tour tank thread? Doesn't look like much GHA. I haven't had lick with crabs and GHA. Best I've had is 2 turbo snails plus a tuxedo urchin in an Evo, coupled with some manual removal to clear off all the rocks. Then the urchin/tirbos keep the lawn mowed. They aren't shy about redecorating the tank, though!

I also get a ton of dwarf ceriths, because they can get into all the tight spots.

It is, I’m not sure when the last time the thread was updated, guess I should do that, but it’s had some algae bloom over the last few weeks. Not much, and I’ve been able to manually remove the big spots, but I thought I’d get ahead of it. I’ve heard lots of great things about ReefCleaners, so I will most certainly be looking into that. Thanks!

Do you know much about care requirements for Pompom crabs? Stable for a 20g? Asking for a friend… lol

Pom poms are delightful, but not an effective part of the CUC, unless you count eating stray pellets and such. I usually had to target feed mine. They are very shy. Mine was perfectly fine in a 10g. A 20g is also fine, but it might get lost and never seen in a bigger tank.
