I have a Discosoma mushroom I am making available via a possible trade. It is the offspring in the lower-left of the picture here. I am not at all interested in selling it. Nor would I be willing to trade the entire colony. Nor would I be willing to relinquish any of my interests in their name.

I am a Corallimorph collector, period. I would only consider a trade for other Corallimorphs of reasonably similar caliber. Although I am in search of a few more Game Over/Mystery Tie Dye/Jawbreaker mushrooms, I would prefer to pay for those out of pocket.

The moniker that had been assigned to this strain prior to my acquisition was "The Day the Earth Stood Still Mushroom." Although an absurdly long mouthful, the name has somehow stuck. The details of its current home have been described in the thread "Friday Night Corallimorph Humor..." Other details about it have been posted in the thread "This Isn't Even Proper..." Each of these threads can be found in the Corallimorpharian Forum. I will certainly do anything I can to provide any further information you may like to have.

In the event that someone is truly interested, and is able to "meet me halfway," I have a few other mushrooms that I feel are quite novel, and are of equal caliber. To be very honest, I feel that some that I have acquired and care for are actually of higher caliber than this one. I would consider making the offspring of some of those available, if a reasonable situation were to present itself.

If you are not particularly interested in acquiring the animal presented here, but have Corallimorphs of caliber that you might be interested in selling, I would be more than happy to consider paying for them out of pocket.

Concerning the care and transportation of the animal(s): I joke and goof around on R2R quite a lot. I have a very serious occupation, and do see this hobby as a release of stress for me. However, I take "business-like" matters quite seriously. I do hope you will find my ethical standards and integrity to be amongst the highest you have witnessed. Put simply, NOTHING will ultimately go wrong if you choose to acquire an animal from me. If some problem does arise, I will fix it. PERIOD. In a few cases, some animals simply can not be replaced. I do have a "back-up" of this animal, in the event that something were to go badly during transport.

As I won't likely visit this thread frequently, please send any inquiries via Private Message.

I do appreciate your time and consideration, and look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you,
macon77

TL, I told you we could convince you that the discs ain't all bad.

You have copped to having three, and are now leaving the possibility of acquiring a fourth open.

You stick collectors sure can be pursuaded easily.

Watch out, though. This gal can eat. She might swallow a stick whole.

Thats an awesome piece. yellow is a difficult color to find in corals. This is awesome.

When it comes to yellow, we softy collectors have some tricks up our sleeves.

The Yellow/White Sarcophyton Elegans is magnificent.
The Yellow Nephthea, Yes Sir.
And then there is the examplar, the Fiji Yellow.

As far as the Corallimorphs, the Ric. Fl. is frequently found in yellow.
I have a yellow Yuma (not really very impressive, though).
A Rhodactis (Inchoata) with some yellow isn't too uncommon.

A Discosoma with yellow, I haven't seen this in another example.

Good luck with the trade.

As you know Tabasco, I have a lot of irons in the fire. You also know that I get 1 good picture out of about 100 (maybe I should trade this gal for some photography lessons).

I am shutting down a system, hopefully this week. Hopefully, I'll get some free time soon.

I really wish you were selling the baby. Amazing shroom right here!

Okay, here is another tiny colony of cuteys. I just picked these gals up last week (still in QT).

AAA-grade...Okay. Ultra-grade...I don't know yet. World-Class...Nope.

This is not my picture (Jeff at Reef-a-Holic took the photo). I suspect Jeff is actually still laughing about how much these went for, and could not care any less about the picture.

P.S., If you are bidding against me, please stop. You are costing me money.

P.S.S., Since this is a WTT thread. I guess I might trade one of these (Once out of QT...There was an Aiptaisia...Now Jeff...)

I really wish you were selling the baby. Amazing shroom right here!

5 Gallon Bucket with viewable top. Air pump with air stone. Large window for light. Established for 6 years! Huge mother colonies and over-all a great looking reef... never been happier.

WE NEED A LAUGHING ICON. THIS IS CLASSIC.

Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle.

I just noticed that there might be some yellow around the edge of these new gals. Am I just hallucinating?

...macon77 running over to tank to get a closer look...
...poor qt lighting...God only knows...
