Good morning, Heathens and happy Saturday!

I finally got a great night's sleep! Visions of murderbugs danced in my head... lol

Anyways, what's on everyone's reefing agenda this weekend?

How do you scrape acrylic without scratching it? I've scratched my glass. I would be terrified of acrylic.

The ones that I've made I see right past. However, my father-in-law decided that he was going to use my magnet scraper one day and picked up a piece of sand. I see those scratches everytime I look at the tank and my blood boils.

I'll be heading "Home, home from the range where the deer and no antelope played!"

I got some sand in the order the showed up Thursday so I'll be rinsing sand and adding more to the ESHOPPS either this evening or tomorrow afternoon.

Yeah, the more I look at it, the more I think I want the green one.

It has nice contrasting colors. No idea if it will keep those colors in a DSB mangrove refugium, but would be interesting to document.

Mine was originally shown as purple-ish. It's kind of a deep dark red now. I think the color will vary. But I'm not an expert. I am partial to the orange though. It would be easier to spot against the dark substrate.

The substrate in the fuge is relatively light at the surface, and given the lower Kelvin rating of the light in there (closer to 7000k), I'm afraid the orange would be bland and make it difficult to see. I stewed over this last night...

I'm about to send another email to TBS.
