That linked worked thanks.

May I ask the reasoning behind the three xr30's.

My tank is almost identical in size to yours and I am using two xr15 gen 4 pros as I thought they would suffice.

Was my thinking misguided?

great, well... it all depends on how much light intensity you want to keep... coral species... nutrients... etc....

My current stock is manilly Acropora with a ULNS and high PAR all over the tank.

So start by checking your PAR levels, is the growth good ? colors? hows the light spread ?

Anyway 2x XR15's it's not sufficient but we can reach a conclusion with some PAR readings and pictures :)

Thanks for the info...I will see if I can track down a par meter and see what kind of results I can get.

Feel free to see pics in my build I won't clutter your work of art.

My tank is still on the young side with mostly acans, ricordeas, a nice torch and 6 monti plates and a few acro frags.

Hello,

Update... the system has been very stable, Kh ~7.2 I'm always raising Core7 dosage lol :S

33900210021_633a74949c_o.png

My Kh was going down to ~6 dKh so I used Triton Co3 to raise it to my desired level since Ca and Mg are a bit high... anyway finally it looks stable :)

It's now 14th of Apbril and I prepared a 2 months growth pics, this way growth is even more noticable :)

Some pictures were hard to take this time... now the frags are starting to get to the size that my 90mm macro lens has too much zoom to photograph the whole coral :) next growth pics I will be changing to 24-70mm lens ahah

Here we go… another update :)

Last weekend finally I installed my new Seadreams sump and the GHL Profilux 4 :) I'm loving the level of control and security it brings to the system finally some peace of mind ahah

Still need to organize the wireing… we had lots of rain plus sump area is outside so that delayed the process, when I finish it I'll post more pics :)

Fore now I'll leave here some photos and videos of the system.

My macro algae stock… finally I can appreciate it comfortably ahah

Sump water path:

After the bubble breaker, it falls in the filter sock section (filter sock only used when I do major cleaning in the DT) then water comes into the refuge below the algae.

Refuge exit into the skimmer/return pump section

Updated FTS

Lastly a "macro" video of some corals with a FTS in the end :)
