The Island Reef

A very informative thread. The results are amazing.
You followed the newt method and everything was fine, which caused you to restart the system, what went wrong?
And I noticed that you have enough coarse sand in your display, why was it washed away in one pile? There was no desire to add .... Perhaps a very strong flow, is it so conceived?
What are the parameters now - phosphate, nitrate, KN, pH in the system?

Thank you so much for reading :)

I had some problems with zero water changes... very dirty sump and VERY low nutrients, also I had an aiptasia boommm so I decided to re-do everything.

Sand is like this because I have very strong flow.

Po4 - ~0.03
No3 - 4-8ppm
KH - 8.2
pH - 8.2-8.3

Thanks for the answer.
Your parameters are good, I understand about the sand.
Aptasias get into our tanks with the help of frags of new corals and not only ... there is no recipe for this.
I keep a fish for this purpose (Copper Stripe Butterfly Fish) - Chelmon rostratu she does an excellent job
Of course it is difficult to feed her ....... but with your choice of feed, I think it will be good.

One of the best i've ever seen.
are you still using full triton method or changed in some way?

I like the tank. However, I love what's under the hood it's nice to see more GHL stuff Apex and GHL cater to somewhat different parts of the market but it would be really nice to see GHL put the heat on Apex.
