Hey everyone. Happy weekend.
1.5 months ago I bought this beautiful small toadstool frag in Neon green. Brought it home. Put it in my coral qt tank. And it didn’t open. Actually for a while. So over time I repositioned it to different spots of flow and light. Maybe came out half way max! Finally a week or so a go I went saxby settings on my ai prime. Also it’s in moderate flow. And finally it comes out to see the world. Can’t believe it survived my experiments but here it is. It’s the size of a dime.

Ph is 8.2. Salinity 1.025 temp 78f just took some time like 1.5 months to find the spot. I’m amazed it chugged along

I’m glad it’s doing better! They can really throw a fit, I bumped my big momma toadstool while cleaning the glass and she didn’t open for a week! Just swiped her a little with my flipper. They’re kinda like Duncan in that they can not open for a really long time but as long as the skin looks good. I’ve got a baby one (probably 3x the size of yours? Still pretty small) in moderate-low flow (enough so the tentacles sway a little, same as a hammer) and under AI Prime HD with these settings

It’s unreal. I thought it was dead. It did not show any life for weeks. Tried different lighting. Flows. Phyto dosing etc. I’m just happy it hung on. I’ve never seen a coral not come out for weeks and bounce back like this. Thanks everyone. Can’t wait till it grows
