The phyto arrived this morning ahead of schedule. My Red Sea CA reagent is still listed as left Santa Clarita 11 days ago with no update. USPS. Even in this environment, you would think it would have arrived somewhere by now. The pods shipped yesterday.

Not that I am spotting every new polyp or anything but on this one small branch there are bald spots so like me spotting a new hair! ;)

I know I already mentioned this to you earlier @Katrina71 but it's SO important I'll say it again. Take the whole crate apart and look over every inch before you sign anything. It will irritate the dock workers a lot but just have them set it aside in a low traffic area that's out of the way and take your time.

When my sump showed up the dock worker was pushing me real hard to sign and get it and my truck out of the way. So I took even longer removing all the screws, taking the whole thing apart which I didn't really need to do. All the while my truck was parked on there main ramp into there facility and delivery trucks were lining up out the parking lot. This was after I paid full price for curbside delivery and they refused to deliver it saying it didnt fit in any of there trucks. Every truck I looked at in the line up it would have easily fit in to, they should have just been honest and said there delivery driver was too flocking lazy to do his job even after I informed FedEx there would be people there to unload it for him. Cost them 45 minutes of access into there own building and they had to refund the entire cost of shipping. Hope it was worth it:p

That was easy peasy. The instructions say to use 50/50 phyto to RODI. That's still a dark culture, but better to start strong. I think the pods will arrive prior to this being ready to harvest, so I set aside about 1/4 cup of the original culture and I still have phyto fest in the fridge to hold them over until I can use this.

New challenge, maybe we should see if we can post a little less and make the 10,000th post pictures of the new tank? I think trying to limit the amount we post will be FARRR more challenging than lurking around trying to be the one to get it. ;) :p

I paid for curbside delivery from ReefSavvy. I called the shipper ahead of time to warn them that I live on a dead-end street because I knew it was coming in an 18 wheeler. No place to turn around and no exit except the same way you come in. I also told them that we have a low hanging cable wire across the street that another truck had already taken out once before.

The driver backed into my street just far enough to get his tractor out of the main intersecting roadway. He then loaded up the tank on a manual pallet jack and wheeled it about a half a block, right up to my back door. He also pleasantly helped me unassemble the box to make sure the tank was ok. He was very nice about the whole thing. I was so worried for months how this was going to go and it turned out to be a pleasureable experience. I tipped him well.
