Well, I missed the early morning shift. I was at the grocery store. We can now buy four packs of toilet paper, but only two packs of hamburger meat. :(
20% of Wendy’s is out of beef
This whole situation is out of control.
Numbers are completely skewed. Tell me how there has been 0 flu or pneumonia deaths the last 2 months. I have family working in hospitals and medical fields and the hospitals are getting a bunch of money for each covid death. If u cough they will claim u had covid so they get the money
That’s a true fact. I have a buddy who’s uncle had a massive stroke and brain bleed. They rushed him to the er and hooked him up to a life support later took him off and he died.
He never had covid or did they test him. Yet they listed him as a covid death

The CDC needs to parse the numbers but as of now it's hard to with everything going on.
This isn't fake or made up, my cousin is a dr in MN, my aunt works at Mayo in MN and I have a family member in ohio with covid in critical condition right now.
Numbers are just numbers, why would anyone deny the fact there's a really bad virus going around and not want to stay safe because of skewed numbers? (That's like arguing with a cop that you were only speeding 20 over instead of the 23 over he claims he clocked you at.)
At this point if people wanna go out and risk it that's their choice and I'm done feeling bad for those that may contract it whom feel this is faked or made up. Darwin Award winners entered here!!
But I do feel bad for those trying to stay as safe as possible and the people who go out carelessly endangering their lives.
And that whole claiming extras for more money due to covid is just a certain side's political talking point right now and that's all it is.
Also the hospitals and clinics aren't accepting most normal issues that go away at home, they are doing facetime appointments to not risk infecting those who have no covid symptoms!
So most people in the clinics or hospitals who are coughing probably have covid or are there for covid symptoms.
Rant Over I'm outta here, see y'all later!
This is a serious. No doubt about it. It’s a killer for sure. So is not have an economy running and isolation. Suicides have increased and food shortages are soon to fallow. The economy needs to be opened in a safe responsible way.
“mods will prob delete all of these posts.“
@NY_Caveman prob the reason for the post issues last time.

Yeah it’s out of control. Yes it’s a bad disease but we’ve seen worse. I truly feel it’s been blown out of the water.
im getting the anti body test soon because my dr swears I had it after homecoming. My whole school was sick. I had a 105° fever up and down for a week and I had a bad cough for a month. The tests when I had it said it was an unknown virus

Same went through our family in jan. I serviced apartments of individuals who went home for the Chinese new year. No fault of thier own they where exposed as well. Crap happens

fyi, there are two categories the states tracks. Confirmed and probable. Confirmed requires an actual test while probable has to meet certain requirements. The CDC number is only confirmed but they are going to count the probable this week as the states still lack the sufficient testing capabilities

i am going to speak out ,we all know what is going on ,what we have to do,DON'T believe katrina wants this discussed on THE MIRACLE..BE SMART..BE SAFE ALL..SORRY............correct me if i am wrong

“When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.”

I don't mind y'all talking about the C. We are family here and need to bond together to get through this. Laughter is the best immune booster. None of us have been sick. I find that to be a Miracle too! I have been exposed for sure. Like tested positive exposed.

Now for more laughter...this sign is legit and not a joke. Any questions why an education is important?

Well, just got home from dropping off my EVERYTHING IS DEAD IN MY NEWLY PAID OFF 2015 ONLY 27,000 MILES LIVES IN A GARAGE BABIED FORD ESCAPE;Shifty;Shifty;Shifty

Drive to lowes, no problem. Come out of Lowe’s, power liftgate opens, no problem. Door with finger sensor unlocks no problem. Push start ignition..nothing. Try interior reading light..nope..windows..nope..door locks..power liftgate..nope. AAA came and the new battery cables to the new battery that was just installed 2 months ago are corroded. Brought it back to the shop that did the work and asked why this happened so soon. He explains when rain water constantly gets under the hood it will cause corrosion. Really? I explain that not only is the car kept in a garage, it hasn’t been out of said garage much due to covid-19. The response I get, “oh”...ugh!

Hope you guys had a better day!

Alternator could be over charging causing the corrosion and premature battery failure. Or could just be a bad battery.. Batteries usually last about 4 years.

My son stefan thought he would be smart and funny and start snapping me with a towel. I told him his uncle's and I used to snap each other till we bled and one gave up. I let him get me four times before I retaliated. He tried to use a towel to protect him self. Hands are a great target.
This is the aftermath

I win. Lol
Life lessons..a wonderful thing ;)

@Fin your tank looks great. Im Lost in some of the stuff you and @JoshH are talking about. I'm trying to keep up.
I'm glad I'm not the only one
Nope, I’m right there with you

So typically you install a check valve on your return line as close to the pump as possible and when the flow is shut off, the check valve closes and it stops the back flow. HOWEVER, check valves are notoriously unreliable at sealing properly and preventing flow from making its way back to the sump.

Melves Reef came up with sort of a backwards check valve setup that Fin has implemented. In this setup the check valve is installed backwards, above the return height. When the return is running it presses water up against the check valve keeping it closed. The second you turn the return pump off, the pressure drop allows the check valve to open and this lets air into the return breaking the siphon and preventing water from draining back into the sump.

https://www.reef2rainforest.com/201...nstrates-the-anti-siphon-reverse-check-valve/
The method I use is a little simpler in that I have my return line and instead of a 90° elbow to tie the return line into the retun bulkhead, I will use a T. The top of the T has a slip to thread reducer to reduce the top of the return T down to 1/4". From the top of the T coming out of the reducer I'll have a threaded elbow to RODI fitting. From there it's a simple straight RODI line with a 1/4" valve and then another 90° elbow to bring the line down into the overflow. Once the return is up and running water will flow out of this line and back into the overflow, you can tune the flow to almost a trickle and when you turn the return off, it will instantly allow air into the line breaking the siphon. Here's a very crude drawing of how it's setup.....

Both of these methods are essentially just siphon breaks to prevent excessive back flow into the sump from the Display. You can also drill a hole into your return line itself however these need frequent attention and can be tricky to get right as you need the proper size hole to let enough air in to break the siphon but you don't want too much of a hole that you're letting too much flow out of the hole. Hense the route I took, which takes a 1/4" hole in the line and let's you easily adjust it to match the size you actually need to break the siphon without having to drill multiple holes.
o_O
I'm feeling a little intimidated about plumbing again.
Me too..don’t want you to feel lonely;)

I did find white locline. @najer I'd love a spraybar on each side of the weir with 3 RFGs. That would be sweet. You know I've been thinking about that since day one.
Well..um..yeah..nope, I got nothing...o_O

Typical. I gotta pick what u order for dinner too then?
..and this is a problem why?;)

Keep in mind that it takes a bit of flow to make those RFGs work right. I think that six of them on a spray bar in a 90 would be excessive and you might not get the result you are considering. One on each side should be sufficient. With DIY spraybars, you have to be careful of the angle of the holes you drill. You might end up with 10 spraying where you want them and one spraying up into your lights. Ask me how I know. :p

This reminds me of my wife going out to pick up some crappy fast food for dinner. She asks me what I want and I say it doesn't really matter, chicken or burgers, whichever you prefer. Of course, she then says, "Which one??!!!" She can't narrow it down out of two choices. :)
Sure she can. We, I mean she, is just trying to put your needs first. Yup, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. ;Smuggrin

We ARE sisters! :)

ABSOLUTELY!! You just got the building and plumbing genes;Wacky
