I'm sorry, I missed this. I have never made one, to be honest. I haven't had any grapefruit juice in about 40 years. So, I avoid drinks with them too. A lot of the tiki drinks have grapefruit juice in them, so I don't make those.

The recipes I have seen for Palomas call for topping off with grapefruit soda. The drink has lime and grapefruit and the sprite would introduce lemon (and lime). I tend to follow recipes, so I would probably look for some grapefruit soda (like Crush Grapefruit), or make my own at home with fresh grapefruit juice, sugar and soda water. I guess I didn't answer your question after all of that. Ha! How do you like them? That is what is important.

Every bar should have simple syrup. It is the easiest bar syrup there is to make (or cheap to buy). I don't know about the Squirt. I haven't tried it. I won't like drop dead or anything, but grapefruit juice inhibits your body's ability to metabolize some drugs, causing them to be less effective and also allowing them to build up in your system. Since it is blood pressure medicine and important to maintain proper levels, I don't tempt fate. :)

Maybe this is artificial grapefruit and then you can drink it and not have blood clots :)

@sfin52 ever been bitten by a spider? Andrew got bitten on the back of his thigh. I'm betting a black widow. Clear fang marks. He probably sat on her considering where the bite is. The doctor called in a very strong antibiotic. The cellulitis isn't as bad this morning. The site is about 3"x5".

I hope he responds well to the antibiotics. I don't know much about spider bites, except they can be bad. I am certain you will keep a close eye on him.

@Lowell Lemon, I replied on a different thread about this same question. I love how there is so much caring and supporting in this community. I spoke to @dantimdad yesterday. He sounded great. lots of energy. He is ready to get things going. Been tough in AL with the virus thing.
