In three years of living at my current address, our power has only ever blinked a couple of times. So far it’s been out since 5:30am! (1:53pm eastern as I type this). Just finished my second round of manual aeration on both tanks...my arm is tired...this is ridiculous

yeah it sucks

In 2017 I lost power for 2 weeks. That was definitely “fun” gotta love hurricanes.

Did you open the fridge during the outage? Usually they will hold temp for a good while unless opened.

During the hurricanes we keep it shut. When we open it we put stuff in a cooler that we need often and then we hook up the fridge to the generator for 20 min to get the temp right and then keep it closed

I did not. The house never got above 70 either, and it’s a big, fully stocked fridge and freezer. Just went to the grocery store yesterday...I’m thinking everything is fine because I’m eating it anyway ;)

Hmmm. You and leather projects. What could possibly go wrong? :P JK, that is a hobby that my father had. There are still lots of leather tools in his shop that has remained mostly undisturbed since he passed 10 years ago.

This is pretty amusing. $1,000 fines for ignoring social distancing. A little non-compliance caught on TV, I would say. Looks like about $10k in fines right there. YCMTSU! :P Do as we say, not as we do.

Cotton candy accident?

Unfortunately, no. Stuffy head the night before, so I got up to sit on the couch for awhile. Decided a tangerine sounded good. Now, I’m doing this in the dark. Settle in on the couch, put tangerine on side table. Reach over to get another piece and it’s gone. Wow, I’m really a mess. Fast forward to yesterday. I’m walking by the couch and see my other half of tangerine. I’m calling myself an idiot as I’m bending over to pick it up. Bet you know where this is going. I ”misjudged” how close my face was to the table and WHACK, my lip met the corner edge of the table..;Wacky

Off to have dinner..my husband makes an amazing baked ham. I do love leftovers.
