Ok so I might have Just scored on an absolute gem for my tank. Ati 36” 8 bulb setup for $100 WITH BULBS!
granted the bulbs are almost done but $100. The fixture is 17.5 inches wide and my tank is 18”.could I use this light for my tank?

You absolutely can and should. It provides more than enough light for your needs and is a reliable alternative to LED.

Bulb cost is a little more than you'd expect though.

It’s a $100 for an ati fixture though. I might take the middle bulbs out and retro fit leds. The fixture is a little dented but the guy will let me test it out and play with it before I buy It

55g light went down. The replacement power supply was 110. I ordered 4t5ho fixture. If its good enough for tidel gardens ita good enough for my tanks

20 a bulb. There is a video on you tube that shows the color spectrums of each ati bulb. Thats a heck of a steal. Sorry deal on the light

Yeah. Not too worried about replacement it is what it is. Can’t beat the fixture though

Yeah thank you. I love the shimmer of leds but the color and growth of t5 is unbeatable. I don’t need the controls. I’ll play too much lol

I know. I figured a way to cool the tank cheaply w a controller and some fans. MH are hotter. I’ve had t5 on my 10g and as long as I had enough surface agitation they did fine
