Unfortunately, I usually drink before I cook (also following Cajun roots), so I don't write anything down. :p I once prepared a marinade for ribs late one night when I don't even remember how I got home. They were the best ribs I ever made and I have no idea what I put in the marinade. Pretty sure there was wine involved though. :)

This is the way I cook too. Nothing ever turns out the same way twice. ;)

Cajun roots produce some amazing food! And probably weekends

We have been known to throw down a good time down here, cher (pronounced sha - like the a in "cat").

If you have ever seen the movie, "The Big Easy," no one told Dennis Quaid that cher was not pronounced CHER (as in Sonny and...). They filmed it in New Orleans and you would think one of the locals would have said something to him, but they were probably just laughing their butt off at him like I do whenever I see the movie. :P

Update...He’s still responding well to the Hydroxychloroquine. She talked to him today using FaceTime and said he sounded good. At this point, not gettin worse is a good thing

Oooo good thinking. I’ll just fiberglass it and gelcoat it. I have so much boat stuff. I’m currently rebuilding a classic 13ft Boston whaler into something not so classic

i mean- i have 4lbs of shredded country style pork shoulder grilled with cumin, chipotle, red pepper, and garlic powder, as well as a pineapple and corn salsa i made earlier, and some pickled red onions that i can send you if you like?

Maybe you can post some Cajun recipes...like old school red beans and rice! Cooking for 4 boys gets expensive!

Nothing cheaper than home made pasta, takes a little bit of work to make but tastes phenomenal plain and you flavor it however you like, you can also make large batches and freeze them (although slightly more of a pain as you have to flat stack it between layers of parchment paper to keep it from sticking to itself).

She me to watch Markaplier (YouTube star who makes A LOT OF MONEY fr0m his YouTube channel) play the remake of Resident Evil 3. Then I spent the next two hours doing some tank maintenance and trying to get a pic of my Barnacle Blenny for @Katrina71

One thing I can tell you, almost all Cajun dishes start off with what is called "the trinity" - Onion, Celery & Green Pepper. Whether it is gumbo, etouffee, jambalaya, sauce piquante, or even red beans & rice. Some people don't include all three, depending on their individual taste, but most recipes that you do find will include the trinity. Also, no two Cajuns cook anything the same way. :p

Husband gives me this speech every time I say something about his Cajun cooking. He tried to teach me how to make a roux. Didn’t work out to well:p

I love homemade pasta. I use to have the old hand crank style pasta cutter. My daughter was watching me make pasta and decided it would work much better with her Playdoh :p
