My best friend owned a dental lab and I used to like watching him work with gold while I drank beer. I believe he invested heavily in gold as well. Gold sure is pretty when it is all shined up.My brother traded gold when I first started working for him in a dental lab. Gold was below $300.00 an oz. He probably did great in the market cause he very rarely sells anything. He is probably just going to keep holding the gold. I might have made jewelry out of it already...even though I don't wear any. Gold is just cool to work with and polish. Loved working with Gold.
Your are how old? o_OOil prices just dropped below $0. Might be my time to invest in oil companies
SEC & state law. If your a minor, the account is ”Uniform Transfers to Minors” ..custodian manages the account until your an adult. I used to be in the brokerage business. Lot’s of ruleso_ONever mind they shut my account down because I’m not 18. Fun
Welcome to the world of commodities. When I first got into the business, I knew nothing. I thought the term “PorkBellies” was a nickname. You should have seen my face the day I found out they were actually trading pig meat:pI saw a friend reach out to one of her friends in the oil business on Facebook. I found what he said interesting. So just pasting it here, FWIW.
“The "spot" price is under $3. That is for a delivery contract that expires tomorrow. The next month contract, for delivery May 19, is now at $22.23. Nobody wants delivery tomorrow. There is no place to put it. Storage is near full and demand has cratered. So, while the less than $3 print looks horrible, it's really not that bad. Although, even $22.23 is a very low price!
Negative pricing indicates the oil producer may not want to shut in production for fear of damaging the geology of the well(s). But the produced oil has nowhere to go... so they may have to pay someone to take it. This would primarily happen to lower grades of crude.”
I guess I’ll give you a pass since it’s a date night;)POP.. hope all are well,have a goodnight all ,goin fishing,and yes i will have a FIRE..:p @Dolelo96 :)
You make me smile! Pop in with the best comments:)Stock in diapers. Should be a booming business in about 7-8 months.
I’m starting to question whether you really are 36;) I just read your comments to my husband..he’s a financial advisor. He started giving his opinions, until I interrupted him and said, “this is from a 16 year old”. He smiled and said, “well, he is a smart 16 year old”;)I’m an airbus guy.
my dad has invested for me. He does it longterm though. He wants to learn day trading with me so I figured how to start an account that’s in both of our names. He doesn’t have the time to focus on day trading.
As for long term investing I have learned a ton over the past few years and I’ve made some huge decisions based on strategies I’ve learned for long term that have played out to be successful
Isn’t this suppose to be a date night? I‘m taking my pass back;)all honesty anyone watching /listening to willie nelson live bday party?;)

Yes I Really am 16. I have always had an interest in the stock market. I read everything my dad has read and recently he’s been letting met make big financial decisions because he wants me to learn. All his friends always call him for financial advice and now he just gives me the phone to talk to them when he’s busy.Your are how old? o_O

I understandI would have said if I could. Don’t want to spread rumors without good sourcing. Even is technical folks feel the need for journalistic integrity.
The only reason I thought of that is because it believed to have a heart surgery of short and he wasn't doing well. Not confirmed yet. People rip the news media. Not going to say where I am working (some of you know or have figured it out), but I am proud of the journalists I work with. National cable news. Most of the time they are good people trying to get it right and deliver it intelligently. I find very few prima donnas on the national level. I see that more in local news which tends to just be a vehicle for add sales.
The difference, for those that may not know:
- networks, including local news, make the bulk of their money from add sales
- cable stations and national news channels make their money mostly from the number of subscribers (from pennies to dollars per customer through their local cable bill)
