I've read a lot about others using the "mirror" trick to distract fish or otherwise help reduce fish aggression, and up until now I hadn't had a chance to use it. Man does this work slick. I just hung one of those cheap dollar store plastic mirrors near the left edge on the outside of the tank and the fish can't get enough of it! Right now I've got a half dozen fish all enamoured with themselves...

Background: I recently introduced a Saddle Valentini Puffer and for whatever bizarre reason my Cleaner Wrasse wouldn't leave him alone. Like pursuing him all over the tank and nipping at his lower fins kind of harassment. With the addition of the mirror, he now spends about 3/4 of the time in front of it - and "Puff" has had time to explore the tank and find some hiding spots.

I need to give this a try! I have a Tomini tang who beat the tar out of a Flame Hawk when I introduced him to the tank.
