This morning I'm taking my family to the national cemetary at Fort Sam Houston. We do not have anyone buried there, but I want the kids to see the rows of headstones, the flags, and all the folks that have come out to honor our soldiers. To me there seems to be an awful lot of negativity in the news and in the schools nowadays; thankfully there is a tremendous amount of patriotism here in our community and I want my kids to feel it in their hearts.

Thank you for reminding us, it is not a weekend for shopping a BBQ but to reflect and give thanks. I also want to thank the people who volunteer at the funerals of vets who have died, like the ones in Ok. for my dad's funeral, Korean War vet.
