Had a six line that didn’t make it, and then a leopard wrasse that didn’t make it.
I got a Moon wrasse for 10 bucks.
He’s doing great!

He got along with our maroon clown for a while and then one day they didn’t.
So I moved him into my 200 gallon for more space.

Hi Wrasse experts, question for the collective group here. Have a few fish in quarantine currently (Oreni Tilefish) and 1x Male and 2x Female Leopard Wrasses (Macropharyngodon bipartitus). Male is medium sized and doing amazing. 1x small female and male are out most of the day and eating very well.

2nd female size is 1/2 way between small female and the medium male. I
do believe the male is showing mild signs of aggression but nothing crazy. The 2nd female only comes out 2-3x a day and for maybe 5 minutes at a time. If I can catch her I feed the tan and she eats really well before hiding again.

Display tank is around 125g and was hoping this would calm down once in the display. But I have the opportunity to re-home her if keeping a harem is not truly recommended?

Sure are pretty!!!

My Aquamarinus already start to gain weight. Small Wrasse, smaller than my medium size Clown. This fish only nearly 2 inches. He has a few spots on him on arrival to the tank, but I think like all the other fish come in with Ich, it will just frizzle out shortly.

This wrasse is soooo beautiful. He is so fast that it is difficult to take good pictures of him.
Late afternoons when they are comfortable this Fairy wrasse start to flash and display. I a few more weeks when he is more comfortable, I hope he will display a lot more.

I thought I would share my Current Wrasses and also ask for recommendations.

Currently have a Splendid pintail and a Beaus fairy. The Beaus chases a decent amount, and the pintail will hide near the return nozzle At times, but that is the extent of the aggression.

I really wanted to add at least one more fairy, a flasher, a Halichoeres (wife really like Melanarus), at least 1 leopard, and a pink streaked if I can ever get a hold of one.

Would really appreciate thoughts on all of this as well as suggestions for which fish I should be considering for each with the current chasing from the Beaus.

Ok now the eye candy!

Hmm
If you’re having trouble with the Beau then you may have to give up on the flasher. The Mel isn't a Hali I recommend. They are a bit on the aggressive side. I suggest a radiant, yellow, Christmas (biocellatus), or another one of the smaller ones. Pink streak may work but you may need a more complex rock structure as they like to hide and don't do well in the open.

For another fairy look to the left side of this chart!

What size tank is this? It is very open for having a pinkie (possibly pintail also). I would be reticent to add a pink streak into a tank with an aggressive fairy. They are very timid. Wonderful fish though in a peaceful tank.

See if your wife like Halichoeres claudia. And then if you can find one!

That's disappointing news on the flasher. I really was wanting a wrasse heavy tank.

I have been considering adding more rock hoping to deal with some of the current aggression. I had hoped that eventually coral growth would make up for the lack of complex rock work.

I have that chart saved to my phone. I was concentrating on the green options, and then my LFS got in the Beaus, and he was so pretty, and only 1 aggression level up I thought I could get by.

It's 130 gallons 60in x 24in x 21in. there is stall a section of tank and rock to the right now shown, but I may have to seriously consider adding some rock work. I upgraded from a 20 gallon cube, and have been trying to get my hands on a pinky for that tank for 3 years or more. I doubt I'll find one anyhow. thanks for the suggestion.

Get an acclimation box and keep the flasher(s) in there for two weeks

Does anyone know what wrasse this is?
Hard to take good photos
