It's so cool when they do it , mines so mellow its a pretty rare I get to see it. He knows he king, no need to prove it.
I can see why he would be king with that mix. Mine may have a little competition with my terminal male C. bathyphilus and C. laboutei. I am nearing my stocking limit for my 125. P. bellae and C. johnsoni are both on my list, but I may only be able to do one or the other.
Edit: Full list - in order of when I got them:
C. lubbocki
C. bathyphilus
C. laboutei
P. attenuatus
C. earlie
C. lineatus
C. jordani
C. solarensis
C. cyanopleua
C. lineatus
H. melarunus
H. iridis
with a M. geoffroyi and C. jordani on the way.
Want to snag an Anampses or two as well. And a pintail species as well.
Gorgeous fish, Marshall. :)
Please excuse my shoddy memory, but was that the one from the nicewrasse contest?
That's a nice group you have. I want a bathyphilus really bad but Im waiting till I have enough others so the aggression is spread a bit more. I had a Labouti and he became a terror.
Unfortunately no; I had to pay for mine :( But it did come from NiceWrasse :) But thank you either way!
My bathyphilus is a baby. He is the largest in the tank, but never shows any aggression at all. He flashes the others all the time, but never chases. My laboutei is almost full size (or maybe is?), but is actually pretty mellow...so far. I know how aggressive they can be once mature, so hoping I lucked out.
I can tell you my attenuatus is quite the bold little fish! Easily the smallest wrasse in the tank, yet most aggressive at feeding time! I think Hunter's is the same in that respect.
Any fish I have to pay more than $50 for, I think I'll be getting from him.
About the Labouts...are they mean to all fish or just other wrasses?
As far as I know, just other Fairy/Flasher wrasses. But as mentioned, mine is rather mellow as of today. My Flame Angel is far more aggressive than him.
How do you like your radiant? I'd like to have some Tamarins eventually too, most of them get pretty big though.
Whew! That's good! I really want to save up for one and it'll likely be the only wrasse, so it should be fine. That makes me happy. n.n

Too bad Scotts are so mean. I've wanted one since 2003.
I want that cf. lanceolatus post on... the other forum/
