If the potter's wrasse is eating aggessively just go ahead and add it it to the dt. Use a social acclimation box to introduce it so that it doesn't get harassed and intimidated. There is no reason after a day or two in the box it won't continue being an aggressive eater.

Yeah, agree. She sounds good and ready; I wouldn't worry much.

Wanted to update ya'll on my leopard wrasse. I did quarenteen them when I got them in. I got 2 Macropharyngodon meleagris, and 1 blue star. The blue star was doa, and 1 of the leopards died 5 days later. The remaining one went thru quarenteen well, and has been in my main tank for three weeks now. She is very healthy and fat, and eats like a pig! She wakes up at about 8 am, and goes to bed about 8-9 pm. I just love her! She is my first leopard, and now I'm hooked!
I have a question. I'm looking at getting a yellow tail tamarin, would it be ok to mix with my leopard? I have a 120 tank.

Ok, so I got the Lanceolatus today. I will be getting the Katoi over the weekend. They are VERY big. I didn't think they were that size. Beautiful animal. If anyone wants a Lanceolatus, let me know. I picked up from Hotreef in NY. They ship. I saw all of them they had (probably a dozen or more). Most of them were stunning like mine.

(I currently have 1 yellow wrasse and 2 leopard wrasse.)

Also, when quarantining wrasse, do you usually put a small container of gravel in the qt tank for them to bury into if scared or for sleeping at night? Or is several pieces of PVC pipe okay?

A matter of opinion on the first question,

And you should give sand burrowing wrasse a small Tupperware with 2 inches of sand or so for quarantine. Fairy and flasher wrasses do not bury. Leopards and most halochoeres do, as well as many others

I added a pink margin, Labouti, flame, and lineatus within days of each other and all is well thus far. Should that change I have other tanks to move fish to :)

How does your Pink Margin and Lineatus get along? Being such close conspecifics I was warned away from that combination as well as Lineatus / Pylei. I eventually had to remove my C. rubriventralis as he was running the Lineatus to the point that he would stay hidden and not eat.

I currently have the male Lineatus, male Hooded and a Canary wrasse. I have another male Hooded in a separate tank currently. They were both bought as juveniles with the hopes that one would be male/ female. No luck. After some serious around the tank action I grabbed the first one I could net. Both are gorgeous and coloring slightly different into their terminal stage. I believe they are from two different locales.

The Canary is to be removed as soon as it can be caught. It's appetite for shrimp (Peppermint, Cleaner, etc) is ridiculous. It also enjoys picking off snails and any other inverts. It just won't go into a trap and getting a net on it is this side of impossible.

No problems at all. The lineatus is 2.5-3x larger than the margin. With so many wrasses they seem to ignore each other.

Yellow Coris are very difficult to remove!

That's good to hear, I may attempt it. My Lineatus is 3-3.5". I would have to attempt it when adding several others to the DT I feel so any aggression would be spread out. I don't feel so much from him as more so from the Hooded. LOL, you're telling me about trying to catch this Canary! I have literally thrown just about the entire seafood counter from Kroger at the tank in the attempt. A buddy has joked about about making a miniature spear gun, as we have spent hours in front of the tank with the trap. :mad:
