Be careful; gets very large and will flip/anything everything it can looking for food. Pretty tough to do in a reef tank.

I feel like both of those have a good chance of doing the opposite - particularly the tusk

@3FordFamily Had a good chance of staying in the tank with the lineatus? I didn't want to take any chances so I brought them in along with a lunare wrasse (prior to getting the lineatus). I had witnessed all 3 fish have periods of aggressiveness at times in the past. The best part about the deal was that the lunare wrasse (which was huge) ended up going into the stores 265 gallon display so I see him every time I stop in haha

This guy turns out to be a pretty interesting fish now that it is comfortable in the tank and is out in the water column all the time. Has some funny swimming patterns. I can see why everyone here likes the wrasses so much. Will for sure have more once I get a larger tank.

Hi wrasse people I have two anampses neoguinaicus, I have had them for 6 months. One is much more dominant and figure it's on its way to changing. Anyone have any info on the change in a home aquarium, timescales and anything else worth noting. Thankyou

There is no set time frame for a transition; it is highly dependant upon the environment. A few days to many months.

Thankyou very much ..I will try and put some pictures up. One thing I have noted is that the eye colour is different on the one.
