They are in the middle of fairy wrasse aggression, seem to be hardy, outgoing. They are a nice addition for most tanks.

No pro here, but I have had mine for some months now. He survived Velvet, and had been a model citizen for the most part. He used to chase my P. attenuatus around, but just for seconds and then paid him no attention for days. If the price is right, go for it. He got along just fine with 3 other fairy wrasses for months.

Hunter/TJ how would you rate these fairy wrasse in aggression? C. jordani, rubrimarginatus, lyukyuensis, cf. lanceolatus?

Leopard Wrasse taken with my phone. Very difficult to get a good pic. Usually takes about 20 to get one good one. I love this fish. My hands-down favorite.

None of those are that aggressive, cf lanceolatus is quite peaceful. I would definitely use a social acclimation box though, as they all will vy for dominance in the hierarchy.

The id of male lineatus is correct, but they can range in price from $250-400, depending on qualiry and the source providing them.

Thanks, the lyukyuesis and rubrimarginatus are already in the DT. they are 4.5". The jordani is about 3" and the cf lanceolatus is about 2" they are both in QT . Definitely plan to use my acclimation box. Was a little concerned about the bigger two. They vie for dominance now but ignore my flashers, halichoeres and leopards which are smaller. Hopefully it will go smoothly.

which wrasse that would be reef safe, tankmate with yellow tang, blue throat trigger, percula clown, 3 yellowtail damsels. looking for hardy wrasse (easy care for beginner), active swimmer and generally red in color. I saw long fin fairy wrasse, what do you guys think?

It will be in 120 gallon with livesands and live rocks

Thanks! It's a Red Velvet Dejongi Wrasse not like the normal red velvet. It's imported from a supplier in holland to Lebanon. A dejongi would cost around 100 to 150$ as for the normal one it's sold around 35$
