I live near live aquaria and regularly pick up my fish from them. They were not in the bag and box for longer than a few hours. Never had any issues with fish from them being sick. If it is a bacterial infection will it clear up on its own since he is a health fish or need to be treated. Also does this pose a risk to other fish in my DT?

He does get up a swim occasionally like maybe every five minutes. Makes a lap around his box and looks around maybe 30 seconds total. Doesn't seem to be breathing any different then the blue.

Yeah, that's not so good - looks bacterial.

If it is a bacterial infection will it clear up on its own since he is a health fish or need to be treated.

Treatment is the only sure way to go. It might get better on it's own accords, but that's not the safe path.

Also does this pose a risk to other fish in my DT?

Certainly. QTs can save you a lot of time and effort!

Photo of new blue flasher as well as photos of Royal flasher and other tank mates
They are all getting along good with new blue fin. The two wrasse seem to like opposite sides of the tank so far and don’t nip one another when they see each other. The Royal is always moving so hard to get a good shot of him

I think there are actually way more lennardi available then femininus right now, unless you know somewhere?

I currently have a Johnsons Wrasse and a Magma (Cherry) Wrasse. I'd like another 1 or 2. Tanks is 80 gallons. Since adding the dominant Magma, the Johnson's doesn't show off as much. I was worried about that. If I added something docile like a McCoskers for the Johnsons to boss around, would that get him to show off more? Any ideas? Budget is no more than about USD$600 but I'd be happy with a McCoskers too haha. I was also thinking about a Black Leopard or Chaoti, but don't think they'd influence the Johnson at all.

A mccoskeri may or may not work though, and sometimes I've seen mccoskeri pretty bossy as well. A slightly riskier approach would be to go with an isosceles (pintail).

A Brunneus would be bossed around too. Pretty timid. Mine was the biggest in the tank and a small exquisite ruled the roost.

I have no experience with brunneus. This would be a consideration, though I don't find them very attractive.

I forgot to mention isosceles - top of my consideration list, though I'm concerned it would boss around the johnsoni as well. I was thinking mccoskeri simply because they stay smaller than johnsoni and that may be enough to keep him busy bossing. The johnsoni actually did most of his showing off towards the helfrichi for fish pair, but now the Magma interrupts.

I have no love for Rhomboids - I've seen too many that are total jerks, and I don't see the attraction. Lineatus I like much better and would be a nice color contrast against the reds. Hmm...good idea. Thank you. :)

So maybe I should go for a lineatus and an isosceles. :)

I am surprised to hear that. Pretty docile in my experience but not every fish is the same.

That's so weird. My Rhomboid is at the very bottom of the wrasse pecking order in my tank.
