I'm really amazed at what a fun fish this is. This little thing probably uses more of the tank than any other fish that I have. Top corner, bottom corner, through the cave, over the top! Gets along with everything. A really great surprise and another reason that I love wrasses.

questions for all you wrasse guys.
what is your preferred way to acclimate wrasses and leopards in particular?

I have 3 leopards coming into day and I am unsre how I want to do it?
@SaltyT @saltyhog
Sweet! Which leopards are you getting? Are you putting them into QT first or your DT? If it's your DT, do you have any other wrasses?

Awesome! I QT my fish myself so mine went in to a QT tank with a Tupperware bowl of sand and some other hiding places. If you have wrasses that could possibly take offense to the new guys (mainly other leopards as fairies and flashers and even Halichoeres have ignored leopards when I add them). An acclimation box is never the wrong thing to do IMO.

I did the same as saltyhog with my new leopard. She had a Tupperware in qt, and then just dropped into dt as I only have fairies and flashers. Fed the tank heavily just as she went in, and she didn’t bury until hours later. My Lunate had given her a couple chases but it’s been quiet the past few days.

I use a box for any similar specimens though… the fairies all got a couple days of window viewing.

What is the opinion on red coris/clown wrasse?
They're beautiful, but they get big and destructive. Having secure rock work is a must if you decide to keep one.

Can anybody confirm the identity of this wrasse for me? It was sold to me as a female exquisite fairy wrasse, Cirrhilabrus exquisitus. It's in a tank with a male Lubbock's fairy wrasse, a yellow canary wrasse, a square tail bristletooth tang, and a macneill's assessor basslet. There's been zero signs of aggression between anybody, but looking at the few pictures I could find, I wasn't able to find any that had the dark line on it.

Looks like a transitional Cirrhilabrus Lubbocki (Cebu).

That's what I was afraid of. Oh boy... I already have a male lubbock's in there. What are the chances they'll get along? Not high I assume? It'll eventually complete its transition even with another male in there right?

It will complete the transition even with another male present. Two male Lubbocks co-existing in your tank is highly unlikely. You’ll have to pick one :(

Can you mix royal flasher wrasse with super male lineatus wrasse?
Yes - If you already have the lineatus I would recommend using an acclimation box when you add the flasher.
