There's something fishy about this build...

No clue. I just know at my local Petco if I ask what a fish is because I don't see a tag for what I know the fish is, they tell me they got it in as a <some expensive fish name here> so that's what they have to sell it as but when I ask about others they have to look it up and somehow it's more than the any of the tags on the tank.

"Oh yeah, we just forgot to put that particular label up, sorry."
seems deeply irresponsible for someone who isn't paid on a commission. "why would you care that petco's shareholders have a better year cuz you ripped me off?"

LA has the marbled at $43 and the bluehead fairy at $70 but on sale for $42.

Got some cool swag today! This tumbler will fit a massive coffee! Or in my case a giant hot chocolate with a bit of coffee added. Luckily I don’t live in California so I won’t get cancer from the trophy.

Neat, congrats :D

Related to the train derailment cleanup efforts?

And Maui wildfires

Right on. I believe my company was somehow involved in the derailment efforts. A good portion of our business is environmental remediation and what not.

Good on you! Keep on keeping the world a cleaner place

I have no idea what happened here. Edited this photo and pressed save, and it saved like this. Kind of fun though

Just a common forest fire montipora. I'm going to have to frag it soon. The great thing about a macro lens is that it shows true colors. I usually shoot through an orange filter on my phone and look how different it looks.

Is it the orange filter or that with the macro you can distinguish better between the red polyps and green base?

Crazy difference. Which macro lens are you using? I've been looking into getting one for my wifes camera.

Are you having an episode? You're asking yourself questions, buddy

I use the Yellow filter.

Using the Orphek clips on my phone, I've found a nice balance of using the Orange and the Pink filter together. Definitely doesn't produce true to life colors, but it's the closest I've gotten.

Second photo looks a little wonky due to the fluorescence of the frag rack, but the colors are quite close (the bright green stalks are truly that vibrant, but the purplish/pink tips are a little more "oily" looking in real life)
