Okay, I just had the most aquarist-like idea after learning about thick water. I suddenly thought about having a reef aquarium (no fish, just coral) in thick saltwater. I'm pretty sure this wouldn't work , like 100% sure, and I don't want to try, but what's your guys' opinions on that?

What's thick water? I tried searching but I only come back with a beverage.

If you mean viscous like syrup, it likely won't work because flow and diffusion of gases and waste products, etc will be greatly reduced, even if you could find a nontoxic polymer to thicken without directly impacting organisms. Organisms would likely suffocate.
