To try to remove one? His foot is deep in the rock. I don't want them in this tank anymore they're worse than aptasia. I have another tank for them.

I have another i tried glueing some rocks above so he would move out but it's just extending more.

Use a power head to aim water directly at it. Or use an ice pack on the foot.

I like the idea of shading from flow, but, as you mentioned, they tend to just extend more.

I would agree a Powerhead aimed at it is the best idea, you just have to watch, because when they move, they can get their foot buried deep in a rock again quickly.

off subject---you have cyno-bacteria. RBA's love water movement. I too removed and sold all of mine.

I don't think i can get an ice cube anywhere near the foot. They are also right near the glass so i don't think i can make the Powerhead trick work either.

Trigg hit it on the head with the ice cube.

Try a dark flower pot with a small hole on the bottom and use it as you're using the plastic cup. The idea is they will move in to the pot going towards the light. Although it didn't work for me, several people suggested it and swore by it.

I tried everything and ended up tearing a tank apart to remove three RBTA's. It's really tough when you can't get to the foot.

I tried the powerhead direct myself on these pita rbta's and nothing worked. I finally had to pull them all out. I started with 1 and ended up with over 15. They took the very best spots in the tank for other coral placement.
And they just devour everything in its path. I gave up on them and will never buy one or put it in my tank again.
