Thinkin about switching

I am thinking of switching from 2x 250w MH with lumenbright reflectors to 8 bulb Tek5 fixture.. Not really worried about the loss of shimmer the 50 is lit with a tek light and I love it..
So please convince me I am doing the right thing!

i have tanks with both and I switched my big tank 240cube to T5 4 or 5 months ago and i can wait to get my custom fixture so i can put my 400watt MH's back up with t5s for more actinic. Everyone has their own opinion on lighting and im just a MH person. Lots of people have great success with T5s but i find MH better IMO !!

I too prefer halides but definitely like t5s as actinics which gives you the best of both worlds IMO.

I like the glimmer of the MH and the color of the t-5's. but some coral grow and color better under MH and some like the t-5's. so it really up to you and it is personal preference.

I just switched from 250s to Tek 8 bulb. Very happy and wish I'd done it sooner!
