Seems aggressive, drop it a little

Try moving the powerhead an inch higher and aim it at the surface of the water? That might allow for the flow to spread around a little more. It’s going to require a little experimentation before you get it right

im thinking, since there are no settings besides how much flow it outputs(there is a ring that restricts water) and since its big, should I return and invest in another?(preferably under $70)any ideas?

thats the lowest it goes
but can I move it to a better spot?
You can aim it at a corner and create a lower gyre effect

im thinking to return the pump and get either of these:
Amazon product ASIN B083LP42WZ
Amazon product ASIN B07WV57CWR
Amazon product ASIN B07H47WPX2

just put these into amazon:

so... I am definitely going to return it, just gotta find out what wavemaker to buy :D, options are in last post

its a jebao cwp5000
This should be controllable. If too big, you can add screening around the back of pump which will reduce intake and flow rate
